The Highland Park Scots will take on the Mesquite Poteet Pirates tonight at home, coming off a blowout win over the North Forney Falcons last Friday.

Poteet will arrive at Highlander Stadium tonight 5-0 in district play, having just beat Forney High School. The Scots are on a four-game win streak and will look for their third district win over the Pirates.

Will the Pirates be able to beat the Scots on their turf and break Coach Allen's 77-home game winning streak? We'll see.

But before you head to the stadium, stop by the HPHS cafeteria to support the Highlander Band during "BBQ With the Band" in conjunction with the Tenth Annual Blue Out.

From 5-7 p.m. tonight, you'll be able to conveniently dine at HPHS right before the football game, enjoying Peggy Sue BBQ fare as well as live entertainment (there's also a take-out option from 4:30 to 6 p.m.). Plus, there will be a silent auction and raffle going on at the "BBQ." All funds go toward funding the band's operating costs.

It's a perfect night to "blue out" and a great opportunity to celebrate talented Park Cities students. Don't miss the festivities!
