The familiar smell of fresh movie popcorn was in the air as supporters of Dallas Film gathered for a private reception and early screening of WEREWOLVES WITHIN at LOOK Dine-in Cinema during “Cinema Week”.

The first-ever Cinema Week, held June 22-27, is a national event designed to celebrate and preserve the culture of going to the movies by giving a collective point in time to rally around. More than 28,000 screens across the country participated with early access screenings, events and activations to energize moviegoers.

Among the attendees at the event, which was hosted by LOOK Dine-in Cinema on Technology Boulevard, were members of the Dallas Film President’s Advisory Council (PAC) and the Dallas Film Board of Directors.

Dallas Film, founded in 2006, is a nonprofit organization that leads multiple educational initiatives to mentor excellence in film, television and digital media. Its mission is also to support filmmakers, theatres and film organizations locally and globally. Dallas Film annually presents the Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) to celebrate film and filmmakers. The 15th annual Dallas International Film Festival will be held October 8-15, 2021.  For information and to purchase festival passes, visit dallasfilm.org/diff.
