As busy working moms with 10 kids between the two of them, the only things that Trish Judson and Kristi Long like as much as their families are their pets. The two have taken their love of dogs and have opened a new petbar location, the first of several the pair plans across North Texas.
Dallas’ newest pet pampering business will welcome pets and their people for a Grand Opening celebration from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. The new location is at 5211 Forest Lane (at Inwood) in the Forestwood Shopping Center.
The holiday-themed festivities are free to the public. Santa will be available to share a moment with furry friends and their families in a free photo opportunity. All visitors – human and not – will enjoy snacks, treats and giveaways throughout the day. Additionally, petbar will waive the $100 membership initiation fee for any guests who sign up for a membership at the Inwood Forest location during the Grand Opening event.
“petbar really makes caring for your beloved pet fun and easy,” said Long, who also works as a chiropractor. “Our concierge grooming team is amazingly talented and has such a high commitment to excellence.”
petbar offers concierge-level pet grooming and washing with full and self-service available including state-of-the-art equipment and a clean, open-air environment. Membership plans are available which will help keep pets clean all month long for one low monthly price.
“Kristi and I have wanted to create a business together for years,” explained Judson, who also works as a fitness professional. “However, the COVID pandemic slowed our plans. But when we found petbar, we knew it was a concept and a brand we could not only get behind but build and grow.”
The pair plans several more locations in North Texas. Their next location, in Frisco, is scheduled to open in January.
