Lumedia Musicworks offers Easter gift to the community by re-releasing Lenten concert Stabat Mater

Lumedia Musicworks is offering its Lenten concert Stabat Mater for the next three days at no charge. The concert, performed and filmed March 13 at St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas, features the work of Giovanni Pergolesi and Antonio Caldara. It was Lumedia's first live event of the 2020-21 season.

The concert is offered at no charge, but donations are welcome. To view it go to https://www.LumediaMusicworks.com/stabatmater. The original performance was partially underwritten by the church.

The rarely heard instrumental masterpiece by Antonio Caldara, La passione di Gesù Signor nostro (The passion of our Lord Jesus Christ), sets the stage for Pergolesi’s most celebrated sacred vocal work Stabat Mater. Alongside the baroque orchestra are featured soloists mezzo-soprano Dianna Grabowski of Nacogdoches and soprano Julianna Emanski of Frisco.

Dallas-based Lumedia is a nonprofit dedicated to sharing music before 1750.
