The Junior Group of the Dallas Garden Club, established in 1946, kicked off its first meeting of the year on September 13 at the home of Mrs. Douglas H. Hunt on Belclaire, where they welcomed 24 new members. Members meet several times a year to discuss gardening and flower arranging; and other activities include an annual Cocktail Party, Children’s Party, Christmas Coffee, and the 68^th Annual Flower Show and High Tea which will take place next spring. Members also give back to the Dallas community by decorating Worth Hotel at Heritage Village each holiday season, and last spring, members helped plant a garden with REAL School Gardens at a local elementary school. 

The new 2013-2014 Officers of the Junior Group of the Dallas Garden Club are: Sarah Saalfield (President); Catherine New (1^st VP Flower Show); Allison Carlisle (2^nd VP Christmas Coffee); Becky Cullum (3^rd VP Programs); Allison Vanderwoude (Secretary/Newsletter); Whitney Grogan (Treasurer); and Nicole Brewer (Parliamentarian).

2013-2014 Committee Chairs are: Amsler Bell, Mary C. Corrigan, Brooke Drake, Joanne Gates, Mary Katharine Gill, Nicole Groth, Carrie Hanna, Kathryn Henry, Casey Kennington, Natalie Lesikar, Monica McGraw, Tara McGraw, Jennifer Pankratz, Missy Saalfield, Cheryl Schoellkopf, Melanie Schoenvogel, Amy Stoneham and Caroline Wagner. 

This year's 24 new members are: Lindley Arthur, Lindsay Billingsley, Mallory Broaddus, Leigh Burns, Bess Callarman, Kendall Cluxton, Rochelle Cullum, Victoria Cullum, Laura Dauterman, Molly Frost, Chelsea Hunt, Caroline Lemon, Marianne Lynn, Margaret Elizabeth McKissack, Emily Monning, Cherry Morris, Chandler Murtha, Catherine Olasky, Christine Paddock, Caroline Reeder, Peyton Riley, Heidi Snadon, Stephanie Snell and Alicia Winn.
