Compass Bank in University Park Robbed

The Compass Bank located at 6501 Hillcrest Ave. just south of Snider Plaza in University Park was robbed around 3 p.m. Friday.

A white male in his early twenties entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to a report from the University Park Police Department. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then exited the bank and drove off in a "white four door compact vehicle."

"The suspect was not armed," said Lita Snellgrove, the public information officer for the UP Police Department. "He just presented a note that demanded money."

The suspect has been described as being about 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds with close-cropped light brown hair, according to the report. He was wearing a blue and white button-up dress shirt with black slacks and had on a baseball cap with a sports symbol on it.
