The elementary school carnival season is here again for HPISD, and two schools in the district will be hosting their carnival events this weekend.

Bradfield Elementary Carnival

Bradfield Elementary School will be hosting a "Game On!" themed carnival from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the school's campus.

Shelley Beckman, the public relations chair for the the carnival, said this year's event has a sports theme.

"This year we will be featuring more sports related games and inflatables since our theme is Game On!" Beckman said in an email. "We will also be featuring our new sports court for some of the carnival games this year."

The carnival will have games and activities for the whole family, including a cakewalk, money machine, raffle baskets, arm casts and confetti eggs, Beckman said. Also, Campisi's pizza will be available at the event.

Beckman said tickets can be purchased at the carnival, and all of the proceeds will benefit Bradfield Elementary School.

Hyer Elementary Carnival

Hyer Elementary School will be hosting the "Hyer Rocks Carnival!" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at the school's campus.

The carnival will have activities, including a mechanical bull, bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, kiddie train, sand art and flip books.

The school will have raffle baskets at the carnival that will include items such as an iPad, iPods, iTouch, and Mod Scooters. Also, pretzels, snow cones, pizza and Chick-fil-A will be sold at the event.

All ages are welcome to attend the carnival, and tickets will be available for purchase on site.
