Silent Auction to Benefit Non-Profit Interior Designers who Help Families in Poverty

A silent auction is being hosted next month, which will benefit a non-profit group of interior designers that helps improve the lives of families in poverty.

The International Furnishings and Design Association Texas Chapter will be hosting its 11th Annual Silent Auction, which will benefit Dwell with Dignity from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Brown Jordan Showroom, located at 1617 Hi Line Drive.

Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit organization comprised of interior designers and volunteers who provide and install home interiors for families struggling with homeless and poverty. Some of the services they offer include providing furnishings and art in homes and stocking pantries with food for families in need.

"We are honored to support Dwell with Dignity," said Laura Davis, the president-elect of the IFDA Texas Chapter, according to a press release. "They are doing exceptional work through the use of design in creating colorful and enriching environments that allow families to feel positive about themselves and elevate their standards of living."

Money raised at the event will also benefit scholarship and grant awards through the IFDA Educational Foundation.

At the silent auction, real estate insider Candy Evans will keynote the event, speak about the Dallas real estate market, and address the global impact of bringing business to the Dallas Design District. Also, the auction items will include designer furniture, home accessories, and exclusive services, and My Fit Foods and Rockfish Seafood Grill will provide appetizers to bidders.

The silent auction is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
