Before the Highland Park homecoming game on Friday, you can help support the school's cheerleaders and Scotsmen by simply purchasing a burger and fries.

The High Park High School Cheerleaders/Scotsmen Hamburger Supper will be hosted from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in the school's cafeteria.

The Hamburger Supper is the major fundraising activity for Highland Park's cheerleaders and Scotsmen, according to the organizations' website. At the event, dinner will be catered by Jack's Burger House, and five baskets will be raffled off that are valued from $500 to $1,500 and include a variety of products and services, such as an iPhone 5, luxurious spa treatments, and fashion and jewelry items.

Dinner tickets cost $8 in advance and $9 at the door. Also, members of the community who want to support the organizations but do not have enough time to attend the supper can purchase a "take-out" meal from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Douglas Avenue side of the high school.
