The Town of Highland Park is having its General Municipal Election on May 12, and two candidates are running for the position of mayor.

Highland Park residents Sam C. Tamborello and Joel Williams are the candidates hoping to fill the mayor's position, which is currently held by William H. Seay, Jr.

Also, there are five candidates running to fill five Town Council Member positions, and they are Andrew Barr, Will C. Beecherl, Bob Carter, Laurence W. Nixon and Stephen Rogers.

The election will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 12 at Highland Park Middle School.
