On Tuesday, August 16 the City Council will open its public hearing on the Park Plaza Project.  This planned Development District proposal, located at 6517 Hillcrest between Haynie and Daniel involves the so-called “Chase Bank” site.  The August 16 public hearing follows the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission vote on July 12 to recommend the project.  That recommendation, on a 3 to 2 vote, came at the conclusion of a hearing process that spanned two Commission meetings.

City Council consideration of proposals involving a Planned Development District are thoughtful, deliberate and inclusive.  The process involves the applicant, City staff, residents and other interested parties.  No vote will take place on August 16.  If you have interest in attending the August 16 public hearing, you are welcome to do so.  The Council Meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at City Hall.  If you would like to speak during the public hearing, all you need to do is fill out a request-to-speak sheet the night of the meeting.  If you cannot attend the public hearing, you can forward comments about the proposed project to city-council@uptexas.org.
