Drivers will need to avoid Beverly Drive near the Dallas Country Club beginning Wednesday because a portion of the street will be shut down for roadwork.

The stretch of Beverly Drive between Fairfield Avenue and Lakeside Drive will be closed to through traffic for about 30 working days starting June 13 because the street, curb and gutter, and storm sewer will be getting improvements

Residents who live directly next to the roadwork are asked to refrain from “watering the area adjacent to the curb and gutter” until construction is finished, according to the Town of Highland Park.

“During construction of the curb and gutter, irrigation systems may sustain damage," according to the Town. "Residents experiencing any issues with their irrigation system should notify the Town immediately, so that we may allow our contractor to make the repairs."
