Unfortunate drivers who were travelling in the Park Cities (and other communities throughout Dallas) late Wednesday afternoon were likely wishing at the time that their vehicles were parked in a garage because of the heavy hail that was pounding the area.

At about 6:40 p.m., a storm was unleashing its fury on the Park Cities, dumping larger-than-golfball-sized hail onto homes and vehicles in some areas throughout the communities.

One University Park resident, Jeana Crump, submitted a photograph to BubbleLife that she took on Daniel Avenue of a piece of hail that makes a quarter look relatively small in comparison. (Check out the gallery below.)

Neighborhoods around the Park Cities got blasted by the storm, as well. Skylights were reportedly shattered at the NorthPark Center because of the hail, though no one at the mall was injured.
