The Park Cities Family YMCA, which is located at 6000 Preston Rd., is offering a variety of fun summer camps for children. Check out the list below to see if there are any programs that may be of interest to your youngsters.

• Glide-n-Ride Bike Camp
  "This class is for children ages 4-6 who DO NOT know how to ride a bike. This class will teach kids a safe, easy, effective way to ride their bike using a 'balance first' method."

• Preschool Summer Camp
  "Preschool Summer Camp for 3-5 year olds is a fun and exciting program designed to provide your children with an opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically through various activities and creative play. Camp runs weekly. Everyday of the week your child is involved in social play with others their age, along with field trips, sports, crafts, games, gymnastics, and swimming."

• Dallas Summer Musicals Camp
  SUMMER SHOW TUNES
  "Let the kids have a Broadway blast this June in a musical theatre class presented by Dallas Summer Musicals Academy of Performing Arts. In this program, students concentrate on Broadway style dance training and singing skills with a DSM Academy choreographer and music director. The scores from current and classic musicals are used as text books. An end-of class performance called Summer Show Tunes will be presented in a Broadway revue format."
  
  THE ROCK MUSICALS
  "This DSM Academy program is team taught by three academy instructors – a choreographer, a stage director and a musical director. Our instructors are working professionals with Broadway and international credits. Vocal and dance warm-ups, jazz combinations, acting skills, stage technique, mime, vaudeville, creative storytelling and improvisations are all part of the course. Instruction will be adapted to beginners as well as more advanced students so experience is not necessary."
   
• Camp on the Lake
  "Located on Lake Lewisville, Camp on the Lake is a premier waterfront camp created just for kids and families in the Lewisville, Flower Mound, Frisco, Plano, Park Cities, Coppell and North Dallas area. Camp on the Lake's location and ability to provide children with a myriad of outdoor adventures make it an especially unique for over-night camps."
   
• Where Kids Come to Life
  "Overnight camp adventures! Established in 1949, YMCA Camp Grady Spruce is located 100 miles West of Dallas on stunningly beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake. Campers ages 7 - 16 learn to wakeboard, waterski, sail, horseback ride and more."
