The HP Scots Lacrosse team (2-0) came out strong in its home opener last Monday night at Highlander, and never looked back. The HP drumline got the Scots charged up as they took the field on Monday and kept the crowd going throughout the contest with kickin’ beats!

The HP defense again dominated its opponent, with the return of Junior Defenseman Cade Saustad and sophomore LSM Gabe Galbraith, along with another stellar performance by freshman Goalie Doak Walker in the nets. Senior LSM Chris Walker continued to terrorize opposing middies, with his aggressive checks and blinding speed, shutting down midfield scoring threats.

On offense the Scots continued a well-rounded scoring effort led by Senior Captain Owen Seebold with 3 goals and 2 assists. Fellow attackmen Juniors Elliot Nelson (2,1), Cooper Kneese (2,0), and Seniors Max Holsomback (2,1) and Conner Stone (0,1) continued their scoring barrage making the Scots attack one of the toughest to defend in the State.

From HP’s strong midfield unit, Senior Captain Parker Alexander led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists, with Senior Jack Kozmetsky and Junior Finn Jent each adding 2 goals apiece. Junior Reese Glusing had 1 goal and 1 assist, and Paxton Alexander also chipped in with 1 goal and Senior Captain John House with 1 assist.
