The Chanel Boutique in Highland Park Village Hosts La Fiesta Fling

While Men of La Fiesta Enjoy Bourbon Tasting

In the vein of celebrating all good things that are French, the ladies of La Fiesta were treated to a rare evening at the Chanel Boutique in Highland Park Village.   Mothers of this season’s La Fiesta Duchesses and Escorts were honored with a “Fiesta Fling” as events ramp up for the themed “La Fête Royale” Presentation Gala in June.

“We were thrilled by the generosity and hospitality of the leadership of the prestigious and beautiful French fashion house, Chanel,” gushed La Fiesta Chairs Rebecca Gregory and Nancy Monning.  “It was a true treat to be welcomed by Chanel and we couldn’t be more honored by their support of La Fiesta.”  Moms turned out in their most glamourous prêt-à-porter, sipped a bright French Bordeaux, and browsed the spring offerings at Chanel.  Pilar Bleakley, Chanel Dallas Boutique Director, arranged for a special fragrance presentation by Chanel’s Ken Lucero with aromatic offerings from the fields in the south of France including lavender, geranium and jasmine.  Popular among the group was Chanel’s new Rogue Coco gloss and guests were happily surprised with a lovely party favor courtesy of Chanel.  Perfectly presented hors d’oeuvres were graciously provided by Two Sisters Catering, all coordinated by Party Co-Chairs and Past La Fiesta Chairs, Eloise Meachum and Missy Rothwell.

Earlier in the week, the men of La Fiesta, the Order of the Flags, hosted a Gentlemen’s Night Out, at the St. Johns estate of Amy and Malone Mitchell.  The party was sponsored by Legacy Texas Bank and well-attended by men of the Park Cities.  Shelby Bush, Order of the Flags President, welcomed members and their guests to an evening to mingle over bites provided by Lombardi’s and a popular Jim Beam Bourbon tasting.  It was not lost on Party Co-Chairs Carol Dalton and Nell Bush that Louis XIV, monarch of France, was appropriately from the House of Bourbon.
