Anne Frank Day to be Celebrated at Dallas Holocaust Museum

In honor of Anne Frank Day on Tuesday, the Dallas Holocaust Museum will be giving half-price admission to guests who bring a copy of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl to donate to students who cannot afford to purchase the book.

Also, the Museum will be having special events throughout the day, which is June 12, to celebrate the life and legacy of Anne Frank, including a moment of silence in her honor at 10 a.m. and excerpt readings from her diary from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Museum's theater.

Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, and she would be turning 83 years old on Tuesday if she were alive today.

In addition to Tuesday's events, the Museum is currently honoring Anne Frank's memory with a special exhibit called The Anne Frank Story, which will run through June 30.

The exhibit uses entries from Anne Frank's diary, photos from her family albums and historical images from the time period to showcase her life from her birth in Frankfurt, Germany, to her death. One unique aspect of the exhibit is it provides information about the people who supported and betrayed Anne Frank and the families who lived in the attic.
