IDENTITY THEFT

At approximately 10:59 AM, police were dispatched to the 4200 block of Potomac Avenue in response to a reported identity theft. The male victim stated that he received a credit card he never applied for. 


AUGUST 15

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Police responded to the 4500 block of Livingston in response to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle. The owners of the vehicle were reportedly out of town. The vehicle's window was open and its doors were unlocked. It appeared as though someone had attempted to remove the third-row seats and then set them down. 


AUGUST 16

THEFT OF PROPERTY

At approximately 11:00 AM, police were dispatched to the lobby of 4700 Drexel Drive in response to a reported theft. The reporting victim stated that someone stole both the driver and passenger side view mirrors off his truck while it was parked in front of his residence in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue. Nothing else was reported missing and no fingerprints were found. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY

Police responded to the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue at approximately 7:56 AM in response to a theft report. The victim stated that the glass insert from his passenger side mirror had been removed without his permission. 


AUGUST 17

THEFT OF PROPERTY

At approximately 12:05 PM, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Edmondson Avenue in response to a reported larceny theft. The victim advised police that between 8:00 PM the night before and 12:00 PM the next day, an unknown subject unlawfully appropriated the tailgate from her vehicle. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY

Police received a call reporting a theft in progress at a retail store (Fendi). Two bags were reported stolen and the suspect fled in a vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 12:42 PM. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY

Police were dispatched to the Highland Park Shopping Village in response to a reported theft at approximately 4:57 PM. The reporting person stated that a product worth roughly $2,000 was removed from the Valentino retail store without permission. 


AUGUST 17

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 10:41 PM, police were dispatched to the Highland Park Shopping Village in response to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle. The female victim stated that she left her car with the valet and it was parked at the curb for the duration of her time at the shopping center. She discovered that her wristwatch, passport, check books, and handbag had been taken without her consent.
