Highland Park High school is proud to present the popular hit-filled, retro musical Back to the 80's!

From the decade that is remembered for The Rubik's Cube, Max Headroom and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes this "totally awesome" musical in the style of movies such as Back To The Future, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Karate Kid and The Wedding Singer.

Join the talented Highland Park High School Theater Department as they sing and dance you back into the 80’s!

Linda Raya, Head of the Fine Art's Department described the show. Back to the 80's is the quintessential high school musical: there's the nerdy-but-loveable underdog, the self-absorbed popular girl he's smitten with and the oh so handsome but mean-spirited football star. Add the drama of senior prom and an election for class president, and you have the story line for Back to the 80s. What makes this show is the great music and the outstanding choreography. Miss Shannon Werthmann has done it again with her fabulous dance routines. It’s definitely a show that will make you ready to revise your I-tunes playlist!

Performances will be held at Highland Park High School in the Palmer Auditorium Saturday night, September 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday September 9 at 2 p.m. Repeat performances will be held at the same times the following Saturday and Sunday, September 15-16. Tickets go on sale September 4th at the Fine Arts Box Office weekdays during school hours and one hour before each show time. Ticket prices are $10 reserved seating and $8 General Admission.
