SEPTEMBER 11

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE 

Between 12:00 PM the day before and 6:00 PM the next day, an SMU class ring was stolen from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 3400 block of McFarlin Boulevard. 

SEPTEMBER 12

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

A victim stated that an unknown person stole his 2017 Landrover while it was parked in his driveway in the 3400 block of Normandy Avenue. The theft occurred between 9:00 PM the night before and 6:40 AM the next morning. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

A 48-year-old woman reported that an unknown person keyed her vehicle while it was parked in the 6400 block of North Central Expressway. The incident occurred between 2:30 and 3:00 PM. 


SEPTEMBER 13

FORGERY FINANCIAL INSTRUMENT 

A subject forged a withdrawal slip and took money out of an active Chase Bank account at approximately 10:15 AM. 


SEPTEMBER 14

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID WITH PREVIOUS SUSPICION 

An officer observed a vehicle traveling north in the 7300 block of Lomo Alton Drive. The vehicle disregarded a traffic control device, which showed that the road was closed. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and after a check was done on the subject, arrested the driver for having an invalid license and preexisting warrants. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An unknown subject reportedly stole the appliances from a house under construction in the 3200 block of Caruth Boulevard. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An unknown person stole the valet stand from the parking lot of a business in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane between 4:00 and 4:45 PM. 


SEPTEMBER 15

FORGERY FINANCIAL INSTRUMENT 

A suspect attempted to cash a check using a fake ID in the 6400 block of Hillcrest Avenue between 2:00 and 2:15 PM. 


SEPTEMBER 16

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At 6:08 PM, an officer was dispatched to investigate a reported theft in the 4100 block of Purdue Street. Upon arrival, the officer was told that two bicycles were stolen from the front yard of the location between 4:00 PM the day before and 5:30 PM the next day.
