DAMAGE TO PRIVATE AND TOWN PROPERTY + RECOVERY OF STOLEN PROPERTY
At approximately 2:18 AM, a police officer observed a vehicle traveling North on Roland and approaching the intersection at a slow rate. The officer ran the plate number and found that the vehicle had been stolen. He tried to conduct a traffic stop but lost the vehicle. He radioed backup and a search of the area began. Police officers finally found the vehicle (without the driver) and impounded it.
On the same day at approximately 2:19, another police officer witnessed the stolen car driving by. The stolen vehicle ran a red flashing light. When the police officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle turned from Beverly to Fairfax a struck a tree, then the iron gate that surrounds Dallas Country Club. When officers reached the vehicle, the driver had fled. A cell phone was taken from the car and put into evidence.
SEPTEMBER 13
BURGLARY OF BUILDING
At approximately 2:33 PM, a police officer was dispatched to the 4300 block of Fairfax Avenue in response to a reported burglary of a vacant house that was listed for sale. The victim stated that her cleaning lady had come to the residence to prepare it for a showing and found that the fire place mantle was missing. The back door was open and there were no signs of forced entry.
