Highlander Strings Scooter and Gift Basket Raffle Highander Strings orchestra students promote their Scooter and Gift Basket raffle — their only fundraiser for the year.

Highlander Strings orchestra students help the Fine Arts Department theatre division by selling concessions and fan mail at their annual musical. This year's production is “Back to the 80s…the Totally Awesome Musical," music and lyrics by Neil Gooding. This popular musical for school productions first opened in 2004 in Sydney, Australia, with pop songs from the 1980s. There are still two more shows this weekend.

The venue provides the Orchestra students an opportunity to sell tickets for their primary opportunity to raise money — their Homecoming Game SCOOTER raffle.

In addition, The Highlander Strings' raffle will be held at the homecoming football game September 28th. There will be three winners: (1) a 2013 Honda Metro Scooter, (2) Coach Handbag and Park Cities Merchants Gift Cards, and (3) Dr. Dre Studio Beats and Apple iPad 3 with Smart Cover.

Tickets are $5, five for $20 or twelve for $40. Purchase tickets from any Orchestra member or look for the Raffle Table at these events:

You do not need to be present to win! This is the Highlander Strings' major fundraiser for the year. Your support will go towards funding transportation to District, Regional and UIL competitions, concert music and accompanists, updating the music library and other needs no longer met due to the Robin Hood legislation. We need your support!
