BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

At approximately 10:39 AM, a police officer responded to the 4500 block of N Versailles Avenue in response to a report of stolen vehicle mirrors. The victim stated that he parked his vehicle in the afternoon (around 4:00 PM) on September 17 and returned around 8:00 AM the next morning to find the mirrors had been taken off without his permission.  

IDENTITY THEFT

A police officer was dispatched to the lobby of HP DPS at 4700 Drexel Drive at approximately 4:17 PM to meet with a victim. The victim stated that she received a letter on September 9 informing her that an unknown person had attempted to open a PayPal account in her name. The account was denied and the victim suffered no monetary loss. 

SEPTEMBER 22

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

An officer arrived in the 4600 block of Lorraine Avenue at approximately 9:45 AM after a report of a tree falling on a vehicle. The victim stated that a large tree limb fell on his delivery truck that was parked underneath it while he was preparing to deliver a package. There is some evidence that indicates the victim may have driven into the branch, but the details aren't certain. A report was filed. 

FAILURE TO LEAVE ID AT ACCIDENT

At approximately 11:00 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 3600 block of Shenandoah Street on a report of a minor crash and an individual who failed to leave identification. The victim stated that sometime between 10:30 PM and 10:30 AM the next day, her vehicle was struck on the driver's side. THe driver's side mirror broke off, but no one left identification after the incident. 

SEPTEMBER 23

INFORMATION REPORT 

A victim reported that his motorcycle had sustained damage while it was parked in the north lot of the HIghland Park Shopping Village. The victim stated that he had parked his motorcycle upright at 11:00 AM, and at 4:30 PM, a co-worker told him that it was lying on the ground. The motorcycle had been damaged by the action, and there is no evidence indicating how the motorcycle was damaged. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At 11:43 PM, a victim met a police officer at the HIghland Park Village to report the theft of his wife's wallet earlier in the night. He and his wife arrived at the Cafe Pacific restaurant and sat at the bar. The wife had her wallet in a backpack, which she placed on the floor by her bar stool. When she checked her pack later, the wallet was gone. She searched everywhere for it, but it appeared to have been stolen. 

SEPTEMBER 24

LOST PROPERTY REPORT

At approximately 12:52 PM, police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Harvard Avenue in response to a possible BMV. The victim stated that he was cleaning out his pickup truck when he noticed his two pistols were missing from the center console in the cab. He cannot recall how long ago he saw the pistols, so he is unsure as to when they went missing. There were no signs of a break-in, and other expensive items were still inside the truck. 

NO PARKING ZONE 

Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane on a parking violation. They observed a vehicle with out of state license plates parked on the south curb facing east in a "No Parking Zone." The vehicle was towed.
