Sarah Hardin to Serve as Honorary Chair of DSOL Fashion Notes Luncheon

Averitt Family Members Co-Chair Event

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League will celebrate past, present, and future ladies of “The League” at the Fashion Notes Luncheon and Style Show on Monday, October 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the Venetian Room of The Fairmont Dallas, 1717 N. Akard Street. The morning begins with a reception and silent auction followed by a fashion show topped off with a delicious luncheon. Fashions will be provided by Stanley Korshak and KidBiz.

Sarah Hardin is the Honorary Chair of the event and it will be co-chaired by Barbara Averitt, Kendra Averitt and Susan Averitt Duvall. Mari Epperson is the DSOL President.

Sarah Hardin has been recognized and applauded for her long-time support of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League. She became involved through the Innovators of the DSOL and then was a member of the former Junior Group of the DSOL. She has held many important jobs and Board positions while volunteering for the DSO. When she was the Infacilites Director for Artreach, Inc., she became good friends with the DSO’s Box Office Director Doug Kinsey as they worked  together to bring the DSO music to the  elderly, children and disadvantaged Dallas citizens. It was at that time she realized how important it is to share the beauty of symphonic music with the Dallas Community and she is passionate about supporting the performing and visual arts. Daughter Caroline was a DSOL Presentation Ball Debutante in 2013 and son Spencer is serving as a member of the Honor Guard this year. Sarah recently chaired Art in Bloom for the DMA League and is President Elect, serves on The Women’s Board of the Dallas Opera, The SMU Mothers' Club Board, and The Junior League of Dallas Sustainer Leadership Council. She is a former board member of North Texas Performing Arts and HP Arts and is an active volunteer in numerous organizations.

The Averitt name is familiar to many and particularly with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Beth Averitt was a beloved Symphony Patron who passed away this year, but her legacy lives on through her family’s continued support. Daughter Susan Averitt Duvall is co-chairing the Fashion Notes event along with her two sisters-in-law: Barbara, married to Don Averitt, and Kendra, married to Mark Averitt.

The entire Averitt family was involved in the DSOL’s first Presentation Ball in 1987. Susan made her debut, Mark was a member of the Honor Guard, and Barbara worked behind the scenes making sure the parties and presentation were flawless while Don graciously greeted the guests. The Averitt family has continued their Dallas Symphony support these past 30+ years as involved DSOL members, Symphony Assembly & Honor Guard Presidents and Honor Guard Board of Governors members, and Presentation Ball committee loyalists.  There’s no doubt that Beth is sending lots of heavenly encouragement to keep the “kids” supporting her beloved Dallas Symphony Orchestra League!

The Presenting Sponsorship is available for $15,000. Additional sponsorships are $10,000, $5,000, and $2,500. Underwriting tickets with Patron benefits are available for $500 and $300. Individual tickets to the event are $150. Additional donations "in honor/memory of" may be made in any amount and will be listed in the Fashion Notes program.
