Five Unique Foodie Destinations in Dallas

We North Texas residents pride ourselves on finding the best restaurants around. Luckily, Dallas is home to many delicious eateries, from barbecue joints to fancy steakhouses. There are also many hidden spots that are both delicious and unusual. Here's a handful of the quirky places you might want to check out the next time you're in the area.

Social Pie

Described as one of Dallas' unsung heroes, this pizza place really believes that pizza can save the world. By donating to three charities at a time, Social Pie allows customers to make a difference while enjoying quality food. Stop by during happy hour (Monday through Friday from 2PM - 7PM) and snag a slice of their artisan pie.

Ida Claire

You might have tried southern cooking, but you've never tried it like this. Have a relaxing, eclectic meal inside their Airstream trailer or in the main restaurant. The dishes are adventurous, and the ambiance will make any meal there a memorable one. Restaurants don't get much quirkier than this one. If you want to dine inside the Airstream, make sure to book a reservation!

Mutts Canine Cantina

This communal beer garden offers gourmet hot dogs, delicious burgers, milkshakes, and of course, ice cold craft beers. The best part? Everyone is welcome to bring their favorite pooch along. Spend an evening enjoying the fresh air and dining outside with some furry friends. Be sure to bring your appetite along!

Bowl and Barrel

At this restaurant, you can bowl a strike then turn around and indulge in some yummy food. Bowl and Barrel prides itself on maintaining a fun atmosphere while serving quality dishes. Order a drink and something off the menu, then show off your bowling skills.

Devious Desserts

Although this place might be difficult to find, it's totally worth the hunt. Operated out of a food truck, which is half inside a bar, Devious Desserts has been delivering amazing ice cream for a little over a year. The made-to-order Belgian waffle bowls and artisan ice cream will have you coming back for more as soon as possible.
