Spaghetti Supper and Auction/Raffle Fundraiser Allison Schwartz, Natalie McDole, Robert Hobaugh (Manager of Amore), Taylor Rather, Kirsten Burns, and Kara Adams

Amore to serve spaghetti dinners while booster club seeks community support through underwriting, silent auction and raffle sales

The award-winning Highland Belles Drill Team will kick off the first home game of the 2012 Highland Park High School Football Season with their annual Spaghetti Supper and Auction/Raffle Fundraiser on Friday, September 7.

This year’s theme, “Can’t Stop Belle-ievin,” builds on the team’s spaghetti supper fundraising tradition, with the event slated to host hundreds of Highland Park ISD families for dinner. In addition, there will be an extensive silent auction and raffle baskets donated by businesses and friends of the community. Proceeds provide the drill team with important bus transportation to football games, props and equipment for performances, choreography, sound systems, and competition expenses.

Tickets went on sale July 1 and ticket sales continue until September 7. Contact your favorite Belle to make your purchase or donation, and preview raffle baskets at www.highlandbelles.org. The entire community is encouraged to attend the Silent Auction/Raffle held in the HP cafetorium during the supper.

This is the only Belles’ fundraiser of the entire school year. The Highland Belle Booster Club, with long-time sponsor Amore Italian Restaurant, will serve delicious spaghetti dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. in the high school cafetorium. Curbside take-out will be available from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the school parking lot off Douglas behind the stadium, where Belles will deliver orders to take-out patrons at their cars. Amore Manager Robert Hobaugh, along with Amore owners Marc and Susan Hall, will oversee the dinner operation. Dinner tickets are $8 each, and raffle chances are $5 each, or 6 for $25.00, in addition to special raffle features.

Raffle baskets have many wonderful offerings this year including an Apple basket which holds a MacBook Pro, iPad 3 4G, etc. The other raffle baskets provide something for the moms, dads, cyclists, and Scots fans. For example, in the basket called A Queen's Dream, there is a Balenciaga bag, a NM gift card, spa treatment, and lunch.

There will be over 500 exciting silent auction items to bid on. Go to www.auctionsourceonline.com/hpbelles/ to preview auction items including: Breckenridge, Colorado vacation home for 1 week, Hermes Kelly 35 Bag, outdoor tree lighting package by Doster Lighting, luxury hotel stays, great restaurant gift cards, autographed professional sports memorabilia, Stars, Rangers, and Dallas Opera tickets, a girls birthday party with the Belles at Preston Center Dance, beautiful jewelry, incredible party packages and much more!

The Belles Booster Club Officer and Spaghetti Supper Co-chair Kelley Rather says, “We hope to see a large community turn-out on September 7 to support the Belles. We promise great food and good fun for the whole family!"
