Amy Pinkham

The Godbey Lecture Series at Southern Methodist University will host a special program for parents and others interested in learning more about autism on Feb. 15 at Maggiano's at NorthPark Center.

Amy Pinkham, an assistant professor at SMU and director of the university's Social Cognition and Schizophrenia Research Lab, will present the lecture titled, "Autism: What We Know and Where We are Headed."

The presentation will review proposed changes to the diagnostic criteria for several mental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders. Researchers in the fields of psychiatry and psychology have focused heavily on the Autism Spectrum in the past 15 years, and Pinkham's lecture will explore this research and current trends.

Admission to the lecture is $45 for members of the Godbey Lecture Series and $65 for nonmembers. Online registration is available.
