Due to water and sewer system upgrades, a portion of Lovers Lane will be closed to traffic daily from Saturday, March 5 through Thursday, March 10. This closure will involve the 3800, 3900 and 4000 blocks of Lovers Lane. That’s the portion of Lovers Lane between Baltimore and Preston.
No side streets or alleys near those blocks will be closed. Motorists should note that Lovers Lane will be open to nighttime traffic in both directions throughout the project. Detour signs will be posted at Preston and Baltimore to alert motorists.
Although traffic volume should be reduced because of HPISD's spring break, every effort will be made to complete this necessary work before March 10. The City will provide updates on social media and on the City’s website at uptexas.org.
