Buckle up because it’s full-speed ahead at the Museum of Nature & Science in April.

On April 1 Buddy the Dinosaur, nature-friendly fun and more make up Dinosaur Train Nature Trackers Club, plus Sharky Sunday will offer up crafts, outdoor adventure and hands-on activities about conservation. Other highlights include the Planet Shark Speaker Series on April 5 featuring Washington Post environmental reporter Juliet Eilperin, author of “Demon Fish: Travels Through the Hidden World of Sharks”; My House Cultural Discovery with Safara Cindi April 4 and author/illustrator Dan Gremminger April 18; and Deep Sea Sleepovers April 13 and 28.

Opening April 28, The Magic School Bus™ Kicks Up a Storm is a bilingual, hands-on traveling exhibit based on the best-selling Scholastics books and popular television show. Kids can climb around The Magic School Bus™, go inside the Walkerville Weather Center, visit Mrs. Frizzle’s classroom and interactively explore the water cycle, weather and more.
