University Park residents who live in the 2900 block of Daniel Avenue have petitioned to have their portion of the street removed from the city’s Residential Parking District, stating that they do not the need the restrictions and the parking signs are eyesores.
“The majority of the block residents are opposed to the restrictions,” according to the petition, which was signed by residents at 11 of the 17 homes on the block. “This plan has done nothing positive for our block. We are asking for the unsightly signs to be removed from the block as well.”
The UP City Council will vote on whether to exclude the block from the Residential Parking District at its regular meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Click here to access the meeting’s full agenda.
