Striking an Unattended Vehicle
A 17-year-old resident of Dallas reported that an unknown suspect struck his Hyundai Tiburon, which was parked in the 3900 block of Villanova Drive, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. but did not stop and leave information.

DECEMBER 1

Home Burglary
A 37-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect entered a house that he is building and is currently under construction in the 4000 block of Southwestern Boulevard between 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8 a.m. Dec. 1 and did not steal anything but damaged $400 worth of property in an attempt to take items from the location.

Property Theft
A 26-year-old resident of Dallas reported that $5,398 worth of kitchen appliances were missing from the Kiva Kitchen & Bath warehouse, which is located in the 2600 block of Fondren Drive.

DECEMBER 2

Criminal Mischief
A 37-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain entry into his 2011 Chevrolet Traverse between 9:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 2 while it was parked in the 4100 block of University Boulevard and caused $1,500 in damages to the front-passenger window frame.

Property Theft
An 82-year-old resident, who lives in the 2900 block of Rosedale Avenue, reported that she was the victim in a telephone scam, totalling $11,524.

Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information
A 49-year-old resident, who lives in the 6300 block of Preston Parkway, reported that a suspect opened a Bank of America account using his information and wrote two checks out of the account.

Theft of Wire
A 33-year-old resident of Dallas reported that $10,000 worth of copper wiring was stolen from a construction site in the 4400 block of Grassmere Lane.

DECEMBER 3

Criminal Mischief
An unknown suspect broke the back door to a home in the 2900 block of Purdue Street at 1:26 a.m. and then fled.

Property Theft
A 21-year-old resident of Dallas reported that a suspect purchased cigarettes from a CVS store in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane and left but then came back a few minutes later around 6 a.m., walked behind the counter and loaded a trash bag with $750 worth of cigarettes without permission.

DECEMBER 4

Vehicle Burglary
A 45-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect stole a $400 briefcase containing company checks and a $50 pair of pants from Banana Republic out of her 2006 Lexus while it was parked in the circle driveway in front of her home in the 4200 block of Southwestern Boulevard between midnight and 8 a.m.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle
A 44-year-old resident's 2006 Infinity SUV was parked in a driveway down the street from her home in the 4200 block of Caruth Boulevard around noon after apparently being taken on a "joy ride" the night before.

DECEMBER 5

Property Theft
A 19-year-old resident reported that her $100 Schwinn mountain bicycle was stolen off her porch in the 3400 block of Granada Avenue.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle
A 20-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect stole her 2007 Lexus IS 250 between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 from her residence in the 3400 block of Asbury Avenue.

Forgery of Financial Instrument
A suspect went to the Bank of Texas, which is located in the 6700 block of Preston Road, and tried to cash a forged check.

Property Theft
A 34-year-old resident, who lives in the 3500 block of Granada Avenue, reported that $16,200 worth of jewelry was stolen from her home, including diamond earrings and a Rolex.
