New Members of La Fiesta’s Order of the Flags were officially welcomed into the fold at a cocktail reception at the Crescent Avenue manse of Penny Reid and Tom Nolan.  The poolside evening honored the men’s commitment to supporting the mission of La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas, the 32 year old Park Cities charitable organization.  Order of the Flags 2016-2017 President Shelby Bush officially pinned the new members with the assistance of President-Elect John Reniger and applauded "the dedication of the many families who volunteer their time and financially contribute year after year to support La Fiesta’s hardworking beneficiaries."

Following the ceremony, past Order of the Flags President Carl Weinkauf led a live auction for guests bidding on a one-of-a-kind diamond and sterling cuff bracelet generously donated by Petra Jewelry and Susan Kaminski.  Thanks to his front row status, Shelby Bush was the winning bidder who claimed the treasure for his wife Nell Bush.

Cassandra Tomasetti of Cassandra’s Fine Catering generously provided the scrumptious passed hors d’oeuvres with seemingly limitless waitstaff and fine wines provided by Coquerel Family Wine Estate.  Dessert parfaits were provided by Seasons 52.  The evening was chaired by Mary Meier-Evans and generously underwritten by Penny Reid and her law firm Sidley Austin LLP.
