Highland Belles Lieutenants Earn the “All-Around Award” at Premier Camp

Highland Park, Texas –June 12th- The Highland Belles Lieutenants recently performed at the Encore Creative Productions Officer Camp in Frisco, Texas.  The camp, at the Frisco Convention Center, is designed for the top officers of drill teams and renowned for its instruction on leadership, technique and custom halftime routines.

After a rigorous and rewarding camp, the Highland Belle Lieutenants were awarded the “All-Around Award” and a blue (superior) ribbon for their advanced jazz routine to “Dangerous”.  The “All-Around Award” is given to groups exhibiting the top level of technique, precision and showmanship.  In addition to performing their advanced jazz routine, the girls took two Master classes, a lyrical routine, three technique intensives and numerous leadership workshops. The Lieutenants danced under the direction of Mrs. Shannon Phillips of the Highland Belles.

Upon completion of the camp, Mrs. Phillips said, “This impressive group of young ladies received training that will, without a doubt, positively impact their team this year.  We are excited for all that 2017-18 will bring under their leadership."
