If you want to get a late lunch from the Chick-fil-A off Hillcrest Avenue near the intersection of University Boulevard this afternoon, you might want to plan for a wait.

The Park Cities restaurant was packed with diners around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, which is Chik-fil-A Appreciation Day — a national event created by Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to show support and counter a boycott because of Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy's stance against gay marriage.

Though the checkout line did not stretch outside around 1 p.m., all of the seating areas inside were completely full, and there was little standing room throughout the restaurant, especially near the registers.

And parking near the restaurant was not any better.

The parking lot outside of the Chick-fil-A location was completely full, and cars even lined the curbs of surrounding streets.
