JULY 24
Criminal Mischief
A 54-year-old resident of Dallas reported that an unknown person "spray-painted a picture of the male anatomy on a clear plastic tarp valued at $30" between 7 p.m. July 23 and 7 a.m. July 24 in the backyard of a residence in the 4300 block of Versailles Avenue, but no other items were damaged. The resident had left the gate to the backyard unlocked, so workers could gain entry while he was away.
Found Property
A 52-year-old resident of Irving, who is the caretaker of a residence in the 4300 block of Beverly Drive, reported that she found a bag, which contained drug paraphernalia, including a pipe, grinder, lighters and marijuana, at 9:58 a.m. on the front porch of the residence.
Theft
A 69-year-old resident reported that a $213,885 ring was stolen off a tray that was sitting on a bathroom counter top in her residence between 10 a.m. June 28 and 4 p.m. July 24 in the 4400 block of Bordeaux Avenue.
JULY 27
Damage to Town Property
A 41-year-old resident of El Paso reported that the trailer portion of the commercial truck he was driving struck a light pole around 11:35 a.m. at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Eastern Avenue.
Theft
A 24-year-old resident, who lives in the 4500 block of Bordeaux Avenue, reported that she sold a prom dress for $1,040 to someone in the country of Benin, which is located in Africa, but the check that she received as payment bounced.
Identity Theft
A 69-year-old resident, who lives in the 3800 block of Mockingbird Avenue, reported that her wallet went missing between 3:32 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on July 25, and a charge was made on her Visa debit card at a Shell gas station.
JULY 29
Criminal Mischief
A 23-year-old resident reported that someone used an object to make scratches on the passenger side of her 2012 Toyota Rav4 between 11 p.m. July 26 and 1 p.m. July 29 while it was parked in the driveway of her residence in the 3300 block of Princeton Avenue.
