SHOWCASES 4 EXCEPTIONAL MODERN HOMES
The 2017 Spring Modern Home Tour, will open four modern homes on May 13 for a self-guided driving tour from 11am to 5pm. These homesrepresent the finest residential architecture in the Dallas area, as designed by licensed architects, and they demonstrate that excellence in design is not limited by size or dollars.
This year’s tour showcases homes in the Urban Reserve, East Village, Knox Henderson and Forest Hills. The homes on the tour cover green sustainable living in the modernist development Urban Reserve, A recently completed Modern in the Knox Henderson area, the up and coming neighborhood called East Village, East of 75 and South of Fitzhugh, this town home development developed by Dwellings has created a unique style of Architect affordable living and a contemporary home in Lakewood.

Sleek Urban Modern home designed by FAR+DANG Architects & built by Alan Kagan (Dwellings). Inside, you will find modern design and attention to detail. The first level features a private master suite with a large walk-in closet. The living, dining, kitchen and guest bedroom are on the 2nd floor where you will find soaring vaulted ceilings, walls of windows, museum finished walls and warm white oak wood floors. The wood feature wall has a hidden door concealing asmall bar. The outdoor area is impeccably finished with unique details, yet practical with a jacuzzi and grill station.

A pure modern designed and built by w2-studio, located near Henderson Ave. The house has generous living areas and large walls of glass bringing the outdoors in and a view of a magnificent pool and deck, perfect for the summer. Greico Modern Homes has an aesthetic that is consistent in all their homes with an influence of Frank Lloyd Wright. The exterior finishes of the home include stucco, brick and wood allowing it to live comfortably among the trees of the Forest Hill Neighborhood. Walk into the entrance and there is a floating staircase and the interiors are large open living spaces with picture windows overlooking the backyard.
Advance tickets can be purchased at modernhometourdallas.com for $20.00 each. They will be available at PICK UP AT WILL CALL at all four homes on the day of the tour. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the tour by CREDIT CARD only for $25 per person at each of the tour houses. Children 12 and under are free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Dallas Architecture Forum.
House Rules:
- Guests must wear provided blue shoe covers while inside Tour houses.
- Children who can walk must have a ticket to enjoy the tour.
- All children must be escorted and supervised at all times.
- Photography is limited to members of the media.
