The Dallas Area Chapter of Freedoms Foundation Valley Forge hosted attorney and author Talmage Boston at their Fall Dinner and Program at the Dallas Country Club on December 1.

Mrs. William Miles Woodall, Chairmen, introduced Mr. Boston, whose book Cross-Examining History: A Lawyer Gets the Answers about our Presidents from the Experts, was published in September. The author chose to highlight the three Presidents whose administrations surrounded World War II – FDR, Truman and Eisenhower.

President Eisenhower was the first Chairman of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. The non-profit was established in 1949. The organization educates youth about American rights and responsibilities at four-day leadership programs at Valley Forge.   It honors acts of civic virtue with the George Washington Honor Metals.  And, it challenges all to reject apathy and get involved.

Over a dozen students from the Dallas area will receive scholarships to participate in the patriotic and educational program in the spring of 2017.
