MAY 14

Vehicle Burglary
A 40-year-old nonresident reported that a saw valued at $1,000 was stolen from the bed of his truck while it was parked at 3:15 p.m. in the 5000 block of Sewanee Avenue.

Theft
A 36-year-old resident reported that four patio lounge chairs valued at a total of $3,000 were stolen from his backyard between 8 a.m. on May 11 and 5:52 p.m. on May 14 in the 4500 block of Westway Avenue.

Failure to Leave ID at Accident
A 37-year-old resident of Jacksonville, Florida, reported that his Toyota 4Runner was rear-ended by another vehicle, and the driver of the other vehicle drove away without leaving any information at the scene at 8:35 p.m. in the 4400 block of Preston Road.

MAY 15

Found Property
A 50-year-old resident reported that she found a gold chain in her front yard at 12:47 p.m. in the 4700 block of Drexel Drive, and she believed it belonged to one of two females who fought the previous night on her yard.

Criminal Mischief
A 64-year-old resident reported that an unknown person damaged a windowpane to the detached garage at her residence at 3 p.m. on May 14 and 2:30 p.m. on May 15 in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue.

Identity Theft
A 65-year-old resident, who lives in the 3900 block of Gillon Avenue, reported that an unknown person took one of his checks and made it out for $235 to a door-to-door magazine sales company based in Indiana.

MAY 16

Criminal Mischief
A 64-year-old resident reported that a 16-inch to 18-inch long scratch appeared on the front passenger door of his 2005 Lexus GX470 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on May 14 while it was parked in the driveway of his residence in the 4200 block of Edmondson Avenue.

MAY 17

Lost Property
A 19-year-old resident of Dallas reported that he lost his Samsung Nexus S cellphone, possibly at the intersection of Crescent Avenue and St. Johns Drive while running away from Highland Park police officers (before being charged with disorderly conduct).

Damage to Town Property

A Town of Highland Park employee reported that a light pole had been dislodged, apparently by a vehicle, at the intersection of Abbott Avenue and Crescent Avenue.

MAY 18

Parking Violation
A Mercedes was towed for blocking a sidewalk and being parked on private property around 3:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Cornell Avenue.

Vehicle Burglary
A 76-year-old resident reported that someone entered his 2012 Toyota RAV4 and stole $12 in cash from a change purse that was in the glove box between 11 p.m. on May 17 and 9 a.m. on May 18 in the 3500 block of St. Johns Drive.

Vehicle Burglary
A 25-year-old resident reported that someone entered her unlocked Infinity G35 and stole an iPod touch between 7 p.m. on May 17 and 7 a.m. on May 18 in the 3100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

MAY 19

Assault
A 28-year-old resident of Richardson reported that she had an argument with a male suspect while they were on a date, and he grabbed her arm, dragged her from a vehicle and put his hand around her throat at 11:45 p.m. on May 18 in the 3800 block of Maplewood Avenue.

Failure to Leave ID at Accident
A 43-year-old resident reported that his 2004 GMC Denali was stuck by a vehicle while parked on March 20 in the 4300 block of Belclaire Avenue, but no information was left at the scene.

MAY 20

Fraud
A 49-year-old resident, who lives in the 4500 block of Bordeaux Avenue, reported that she received a phone call from a person who claimed to be with AT&T customer service and the person said she had an outstanding bill that needed to be paid with a credit card or cashier's check. The victim gave her credit card number out over the phone, but never received a confirmation email about the payment and had a $56.76 charge on her account.
