MAY 22
Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 76-year-old resident reported that an unknown vehicle struck her husband's 2003 Buick LeSabre between 2 p.m. on May 17 and 9 a.m. on May 18 while it was parked in front of their residence in the 4400 block of Westway Avenue but no information was left at the scene.
Vehicle Burglary
A 47-year-old resident reported that his Apple iPad was stolen from the front seat of his unlocked 2008 Cadillac Escalade between 8 p.m. on May 21 and noon on May 22 in the 3600 block of Beverly Drive.
MAY 24
Theft
A 68-year-old resident of Dallas was arrested after stealing a bangle bracelet between 11:45 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. from the Judith Ripka store in Highland Park Shopping Village.
MAY 25
Found Property
A 52-year-old resident reported that he found a cardboard box, which contained a flask, can of beer, glass tubes, a glass pipe, plastic tubing, hot air generator and a small bag of "what appears to be" marijuana at 8:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Fairfax Avenue.
Damage to Town Property
A Town of Highland Park Toyota Highlander was backing out of a parking spot at I Heart Yogurt when it collided with a 2011 Lexus GX 460 in what was described as a "minor accident" at 1:27 p.m. near the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Asbury Street.
MAY 26
Theft
A 32-year-old resident of Highland Park reported that her Tory Burch purse, containing $200 cash, a driver's license, $150 in gift cards, and numerous credit and debit cards, was stolen during a garage sale at her house around 10 a.m. in the 3800 block of Maplewood Avenue.
MAY 28
Criminal Trespass
A 15-year-old resident of University Park was arrested for breaking into a Ford F-150 in an attempt to find and steal cigarettes around 9 a.m. in Highland Park Shopping Village.
Vehicle Burglary
A 72-year-old resident reported someone broke into her unlocked 2004 Jaguar XJ12 and stole her Louis Vuitton purse, which contained credit cards and was left on the front seat of the vehicle in plain sight between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Laurel Street.
MAY 29
Criminal Mischief
A 28-year-old resident of Grand Prairie reported that an unknown person broke a window to his 2005 Chevrolet pickup and "ransacked" the interior, causing about $1,000 in damage, but nothing was stolen between 1 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dallas Country Club tennis center.
