On Friday, November 11, University Park Elementary School hosted one of its time-honored traditions, Grandest Friends' Day. This year, the event was combined with the school's annual Veterans Day celebration. Families from near and far, gathered to listen to students sing patriotic songs, visit classrooms, meet teachers and view artwork among other activities. Many thanks to Ms. Sevilla, event co-chairs, Jane Butler and Kristi Vanderwoude, all of the UP students who did an amazing job honoring veterans and entertaining our Grandest Friends, as well as those parents who volunteered to help with the event. Special thanks to Tradition on Lovers Lane who sponsored this wonderful, patriotic event.
