In case you have not driven on Hillcrest Avenue near SMU's campus recently, the former Blockbuster building at the intersection of University Avenue is being demolished to make way for a new Chase Bank, and an official sign announcing that a new bank is being built has been placed in front of the site.

Later this year, the Chase Bank that is currently located at Hillcrest Avenue and Haynie Avenue will be moving down the street to the new bank building after construction is complete.

Construction has not started on the new bank yet, but a work crew appears to be in the process of clearing the debris from the demolished Blockbuster and getting the site ready for the new building to go up.
