Museum of Nature & Science Open on MLK Day

The Museum of Nature & Science will be open Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with fun for all ages throughout the holiday weekend. A third live shark has just been added to the lobby aquarium display. Visitors can see the sharks feed at 11 a.m. Friday.

Other highlights include a shark dissection at 1 p.m. Saturday; a collaborative daily art mural for kids within the Planet Shark: Predator or Prey exhibition; daily live shows (free with general admission) and Planetarium shows Saturday through Monday; The Trinity photography exhibition; IMAX® films; and more. Plus Sharky Sunday kicks off with guest speaker Chris Schreiber of the Georgia Aquarium on Sunday from 1 – 3 p.m. to talk about his field research in tagging, genetics and conservation.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Free parking is available in the lot across from the Science Building. Enter at Gate 5 or Gate 6 off Robert B. Cullum Blvd.
