Varsity runners Jack Alessio, Andrew Kliewer, Noah Culpepper, Logan Gwinn, Stanton Geyer and Jake Harvill

HP's Running Scots had a strong performance in the Mansfield Cross Country Invitational on Friday, October 9th at the Mansfield Sports Complex.  The Varsity team finished 5th overall out of 40 teams competing.  The team was led by Andrew Kliewer, Jack Alessio and Matthew Meletio who finished 19th, 29th, and 33rd in the individual standings.  Also competing in the varsity race were Noah Culpepper, Stanton Geyer, Logan Gwinn and Jake Harvill.  Four runners, Alessio, Culpepper, Kliewer and Meletio, finished with personal best times.

The Junior Varsity team finished 7th out of 34 competing teams.  They were led by Tyler Mead, Arthur Berry, and John Moss who finished 15th, 23rd, and 28th in the individual standings.  Kieran Burns, Will Caldwell, Aali Furqan, Makay Hansen, Matthew Hopkins and Austin Mead also competed in the JV race.  Click on these links for complete meet results:
 
 
 
The Running Scots will compete for the District 10-6A Championship this Thursday, October 15th at Warren Park in Frisco.
