Randy Allen Shares His Formula for Success at the Park Cities YMCA Christian Leadership Breakfast

Highland Park High School's varsity football coach, Randy Allen, was the keynote speaker at this years PCYMCA Christian Leadership Breakfast at the Biblical Arts Museum on September 24. He was joined by HPISD's new Superintendent, Dr. Trigg, HPISD Athletic Director Johnny Ringo, and several members of the football team. Randy shared his feelings about our YMCA being a vital part of the community and the school athletic department. It was interesting to learn that most of his football players began their football career at the YMCA!

Randy Allen has a formula for success. He calls it the 3-M's. Model, Motivate and Multiply. A truly effective coach needs to model the behavior that he expects from his players. He needs to motivate them in a way that brings out the best in the entire team. Lastly, a successful coach leaves behind a legacy that reaches far beyond the actual players that he coached as those players spread his coaching philosophy.
