Goff's Hamburgers broke out in flames on Friday, Aug. 12.
Update — Aug. 13, 12:01 a.m.:
Due to instability of the building, demolition began at the location around midnight on Aug. 13. Demolition affected several businesses located within the building.
Update — 8:40 p.m.:
David Hines, CERT volunteer (Community Emergency Response Team) for Park Cities, reported that responders are preparing to knock walls to the building down as the building has become unstable.
Update — 7:04 p.m.:
According to Nicole Nanson of Partner I.T., the fire was still active around 7 p.m. "Flames flare up periodically from the first floor up through where the second floor used to be. It's collapsed into the first floor, and they are having a hard time getting to it, so are just trying to keep [the fire] from spreading," Nanson said.

Just after 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, a fire broke out at Goff's Hamburgers (6401 Hillcrest Ave. in the Park Cities), resulting in multiple evacuations of local businesses. According to Kelvin Hoffman of Partner I.T., located across the street from Goff's, flames were still visible from the building at 1:54 p.m. Learn more at the following links:
