On Monday, September 26th University Park Elementary students planted pinwheels on the front lawn that they made in Art class, creating a beautiful, collaborative art piece to spread PEACE, LOVE, and ART to all who see it!

Pinwheels for Peace is an art installation project that started in 2005 and is now celebrated every September as a way for students to visually express hope for more peace and kindness in the world. During its first year, Pinwheels for Peace planted 500,00 pinwheels and has now grown to more than 4 million planted pinwheels around the world in 2015.
