HP Police Blotter: Political Magnetic Signs Stolen off Vehicle

Highland Park, Texas (April 16-21)

APRIL 16

Theft
A 45-year-old resident reported that two political magnetic signs that said "Sam Tamborello for Mayor" were removed from the front doors of his vehicle between 9:10 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the 4600 block of Southern Avenue.

APRIL 17

Theft
A 63-year-old resident reported that a homeless man, who her adult son met at an adult bookstore and invited to stay at the residence, stole her car after she told him to leave at 7:26 p.m. in the 4500 block of Arcady Avenue.

APRIL 18

Vehicle Burglary
A 43-year-old resident of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, reported that his rental car was broken into and a laptop bag, containing an Apple iPad, Bluetooth keyboard and an Apple iPhone wall charger, was stolen between 11 p.m. April 17 and 6:12 a.m. April 18 in the 4500 block of Westway Avenue.

Theft
A 63-year-old resident reported that she opened the door to a conference room in Highland Park Shopping Village and saw that two males were attempting to steal her computer, who then stated that "they were looking for some type of comic book office," and they left with a cross, which they took from the location, between 4:35 p.m. and 5:02 p.m.

APRIL 19

Lost Property
A 61-year-old resident, who lives in the 4400 block of Belcaire Avenue, reported that she lost jewelery, including two diamond earrings, two loose diamond stones, a platinum band and a pearl earring, which she does not think were stolen between March 28 and April 19.

Vehicle Burglary
A 53-year-old resident of Fort Worth reported that someone broke the window to her vehicle and stole her purse around 1:40 p.m. in the 4300 block of MacArthur Avenue.

APRIL 21

Theft
A 46-year-old resident of University Park reported that someone stole the wallet from her purse, which was left unattended between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Great Hall of Highland Park United Methodist Church.

Theft
A 20-year-old resident of University Park reported that his backpack was stolen around 6:45 p.m. from the office in the men's locker room close to the "19th Hole" at Dallas Country Club.
