University Park residents should immediately turn off their automatic sprinkler systems. Due to the reconnection of a Park Cities Municipal Utility District (PCMUD) supply line that provides water to the City of University Park, residents are also urged to avoid all unnecessary water use now through May 8.

These precautionary steps should assure that the City has enough water in its tanks to meet emergency demands. Although the City has an adequate supply of water in its two tanks, warmer than anticipated daytime temperatures have taxed that supply and so has the work week with a boost in household water use.
