The manliest grooming brand on the planet is announcing it’s taking a proactive approach to helping young guys "Scent Responsibly" by visiting select high schools and colleges, with stops at North Dallas High School and SMU.
The Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa and Old Spice are going on the road across the U.S. to show young guys what it means to “Smellcome to Manhood” and further Old Spice’s “Scent Responsibly” mission, which aims to end the overspraying epidemic once and for all. Tragic overspray continues to be a major issue in the U.S. According to a recent national Old Spice survey, 90 percent of students (male and female) have been bothered by too much body spray at school. Even more revealing – 68 percent of young guys say they weren’t properly taught how to use body spray.
The Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa, former wide receiver for the NFL, gained sudden and substantial fame as the result of his Old Spice Viral/TV campaigns which have broken records with online views and transformed Isaiah into a widespread sensation that culminated in an Emmy win for “Best TV Commercial.” In January 2014, Isaiah made his triumphant return as The Old Spice Guy for a series of digital Interneterventions, designed to end the most embarrassing mistakes made by guys, who apparently still haven’t realized that attending spray tan parties and purchasing illegal neck workout machines is no way to live their lives.
Isaiah will be on SMU's campus, near the Flagpole on the Main Quad at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, May 5, performing with SMU's A' Capella group, Southern Gentlemen, and teaching college students how to scent responsibly.
He will be discussing his involvement with Old Spice, his take on “Smellcome to Manhood” and why it’s important to “Scent Responsibly” and current and upcoming projects
