Texas Health Resources Foundation Plans “A Royal Affair” for Annual Greer Garson Gala

Celebrated event has raised more than $340,000 to-date in support of Women and Infant Services at Texas Health Dallas

04/14/2014

DALLAS – Texas Health Resources Foundation is transporting guests across the pond to England for “A Royal Affair” at the 2014 Greer Garson Gala at the Omni Dallas Hotel on April 26, 2014. Complete with royal guards and live music by Hard Nights Day, a Beatles cover-band, chairs Keri Tonn and David Heard along with honorary chairs Kathryn and Gentry Beach have planned a regal evening for Dallas’ philanthropic community.

Tickets are available for $400 per couple and sponsorships begin at $2,500. Please visit TexasHealth.org/GreerGarsonGala to purchase or call 682-236-5234. In addition to live music by Hard Nights Day, guests will enjoy a silent auction, live auction, and “A Royal Affair” themed dinner, exclusively designed by Omni Dallas Hotel chef Bryce Dahlgren and pastry chef Kristina Kent. Benefiting Women and Infant Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, this event directly impacts thousands of families served each year at the Margot Perot Center for Women and Infants.

The Perot Center is dedicated to meeting health needs in every phase of a woman’s life, from childbearing years through midlife and into the mature years. The Center offers specialized care for its patients, including a Level III NICU and Special Care Nursery. In addition to maternity and postpartum services, the Perot Center offers on-site programs such as the Heart Health Center, sports medicine center, breast care program, eating disorders program, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program and health centers for women and children with limited resources.

Born in England, the late Greer Garson was an Academy-award winning actress in the 1940s and a longtime supporter of Texas Health Dallas. Garson lent her name to this event in the early 1990s to draw community support for the hospital. She had an active interest in health care, particularly Parkinson’s disease research and patient programs. Her husband, Col. E. E. “Buddy” Fogelson, passed away following complications of the incurable disease.

Texas Health Resources Foundation is proud to recognize the generous sponsors of the 2014 Greer Garson Gala, including:
